Crowther leads Mounts in Mule Classic

The Ephrata Mounts wrestling team competed in the Solanco Tournament this past weekend. Blake Crowther (171) rolled into Saturday's matches on the strength of a pin and a win on Friday night. But unfortunately for the senior Mount, Saturday would be equally unkind, as Crowther lost the semi-final match, and was pinned in the consolation match, settling for fourth place.Jared Becker (135) was knocked out in the quarterfinals, but wrestled back to take 5th place. Jordan Becker (189), also eliminated from the winner's bracket in the quarterfinals wrested back to take 6th place.
Joey Kline, after losing on Friday at 130, wreslted back to finish in 8th place.
Overall the Mounts nudged ahead of host Solanco, finishing in 14th place 82.5 to 75.5. Warwick, the only L-L school to finish higher earned 5th place with 142.5 points.
