Solanco sweeps Ephrata

The Ephrata girls Volleyball team suffered a pair of 3-0 losses this past week, including Tuesday night (9/19) when the Lady Mounts dropped three-straight games to visiting Solanco (1-4 overall, 1-3 section).
The Mares made quick work in this one, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-12, and 25-11.
Ephrata did fare better last Thursday when they battled Manheim Township in three tough games despite coming away with a loss.
Township took Game One by a 25-18 score before the Lady Mounts kept things tighter losing both of the next two games 25-23, 25-23.
Individually, Christine Weaver led the way for Ephrata with nine kills, three aces and a pair of blocks in the loss.
The Lady Mounts (0-5, 0-4) see action again on Thursday (9/21) when they travel to Garden Spot (6-2, 3-1). JV is scheduled to start at 6:00 with Varsity commencing at 7:00.
