Mounts rally past Spartans

ImageOn Monday night (9/11) the Mounts played host to the Garden Spot Spartans. The Mounts were more then kind to the Spartans in the first half allowing them to take a 1-0 lead off of a corner kick only 3 minutes into the game. The score remained 1-0 until the 48 minute mark when Jeremy Yoder scored his second goal of the season pushing one just inside the right post, off of a pass from Tyler Phillips. Less then a minute later Phillips fed Dan Hagey for his 10th goal of the young season and the Mounts took the lead for good.

Eli Saenz scored his first goal of the season at the 60 minute mark, with assists going to Hagey and Tom Renko. Hagey added another score off of a free kick to round out the Mounts scoring. With the 4-1 victory, the Mounts improved to 5-0 overall, 3-0 in section play. The loss dropped the Spartans to 0-4, 0-3.

The Mounts will be in action again Wednesday (9/13) when they travel to Conestoga Valley for an early Section II showdown. The game is scheduled to start at 4:00.
