Ephrata moves to #2, drops Solanco

ImageIn the most recent Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association poll, the Mounts (8-0-1) are ranked 2nd in the state in Class AAA (Large School), trailing only Germantown Academy. Warwick and Manheim Township are outside the top ten, listed as honorable mentions. District 3 Gettysburg comes in at #9.

On a soggy Monday afternoon at Solanco, the Mounts erupted for 7 goals as they easily handled the Mules 7-1. Tom Renko and Dan Hagey each had 2 goals, while Derek Sipe, CJ Wilson and Elis Saenz also found the back of the net.

Solanco's lone goal came off of the foot of Kyle Bean in the first half, which gave Solanco a brief tie at 1-1. But CJ Wilson answered less then 3 minutes later, and the Mounts would never look back.

Dan Hagey, Tom Renko, and Dan Szabo all had assists for the Mounts.
