Ephrata Mounts Tennis Team Makes it Four Straight

The Ephrata Mounts Girls Tennis team made it four straight wins after their opening season loss by defeating Cedar Crest 6-1.Lauren Donmoyer took three sets to dispose of Macey Keath 3-6, 6-2, 10-3. While Lily Sears (6-4, 6-0), Megan Royer (6-1, 6-2) and Amy Sherman (6-2, 6-3) all won in straight sets as they each improved their individual records to 4-1.
In flight 5, Lindsay Miller (2-3) also won in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
With the match already won, the Mounts went into the doubles portion of the evening. Ephrata's top doubles team of Donmoyer and Sherman fell for the second time this season in three sets 6-4, 7-6, 7-5. Ephrata's number two team of Sears and Royer however, remained undefeated as they finished Kelly Boyer and Jacy Dyer 6-4, 6-3 to improve to 5-0.
The Tennis Team will be in action again Monday September 12th at Manheim Township, that match is slated to start at 4:00.
