Mounts advance in CPIHL Playoffs

Trevor Seibel scored five goals, including the eventual game-winner at 7:31 of the third period, as Ephrata overcame a two-goal deficit and beat Lampeter-Strasburg, 6-5, in the CPIHL Tier 2 playoffs Wednesday night at Lancaster Ice Rink.

The No. 8 Mounts advance to face Red Land in the next round of the consolation bracket on Friday, while the fith-seeded Pioneers are eliminated. Red Land beat Palmyra 5-2 on Wednesday.

Joshua Buohl recorded a goal and three assists and Steven Zuziak had two assists for Ephrata. Nicholas Mummau and Kyle Martin each had a goal and an assist for L-S.

The Mounts play Red Land on Friday night at 7:00.
