Warwick holds off Ephrata


After coming from behind last week for its first win of the football season, Warwick scored early and then held on to defeat stubborn Ephrata, 17-7 [box score] Friday night in Lititz.
 
The Warriors (2-1) had 216 yards total offense, while the Mounts (0-3) notched 171 for the game.

Spartans shut out Ephrata


When a football team wins, one might think the coach would be happy, but Garden Spot head coach Matt Zamperini wasn't too impressed with his team even though it shut out Ephrata 21-0 [box score] Friday night.
 
"I'm not happy with the little things," said the coach. "It seems like they are resisting change. I don't see progress.''

Cocalico holds off Ephrata


Sometimes, it's the mental aspect of athletics that plays a bigger role in the outcome of a game than physical abilities.
 
"This game is always such a head case for both teams," Ephrata coach Rhoda Mountz said.
 
"I'm not surprised the way it went," added Cocalico's Krista Page. "This is always a game, even if it's now the game."
